George Williamson started a solo practice patent law firm over twenty years ago with the purpose of giving inventors better access to legal services. He recognized that individual inventors and small businesses had important legal needs that traditional law firms were not equipped to handle and that they needed a lower cost alternative to larger law firms.
While his firm has handled hundreds of cases over the years, the purpose has not changed. He is still here for the inventors.

Prior to starting his Patent Law Firm, George Williamson earned multiple Engineering Degrees and then spent several years working as an engineer where he was involved with the planning, design and construction of various types of projects where he learned to handle the minute details required to start and finish any type of engineering project.
His attention to detail has served him well in his role as a Patent Attorney where he has prepared and prosecuted 100's of patent applications for many different types of inventions dealing with a wide variety of machinery and electro-mechanical devices.
George Williamson has handled cases for 100's of different types of inventions.
Importantly, during his time as an engineer, he had the pleasure of working with a number of very talented engineers where he developed the ability to communicate and work with other people including inventors. He works closely with his inventor clients, and handles all of his cases individually so that he always knows exactly what is happening with each case.
When you call him, you do not to worry about talking to someone unfamiliar with your case, as he handles all of the cases personally.
While George Williamson was working full time as an engineer, he attended law school and despite the demands of his engineering career, he was able to complete law school and become a Patent Attorney admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and, the United States Supreme Court.
He is also admitted to practice law in the State of Alabama and is also a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Alabama.
George Williamson entered law school with an idea of what he wanted to do, and clarified that idea during his studies. Many years ago he conceived his law practice and its core mission. In the following years he has continually worked to adapt the practice to provide inventors with the best possible legal representation at lower costs and prices. He is proud to work with and help so many talented and creative individuals.
